INT. THE WRITERS' ROOM — DAY

The minds behind the room.

Adeel Afzal

Co-Founder & Creative Director

Adeel Afzal has spent his career proving that Pakistani audiences reward writing that respects them. Across two decades of theatre, television, and film — as a writer, and as an actor who has lived inside other writers' dialogue — he has seen exactly what a script gains when it is heard aloud before it is shot. At Amtul Shahida, he leads story development and the writers' room process, holding every script to a single standard: would he watch it?

A script is not finished when it is written. It is finished when it survives being read aloud.

Saad Azhar

Co-Founder & Managing Partner

Saad Azhar has spent his career on the making side of Pakistani television, watching strong premises weaken under punishing schedules and single points of failure. That experience made him the collaborative model's most stubborn advocate. At Amtul Shahida, he leads partnerships with channels and production houses, making sure the room's work reaches the screens it deserves.

Talent was never our problem. Time was. The room buys back the time.

INT. THE BOARDROOM — CONTINUOUS

The wider room.

Iman Hussain

Member, Board of Directors

Iman Hussain writes at the meeting point of memory and identity, moving easily between written and visual storytelling. She has led the editorial team at Trending News and written for Hello Pakistan, and her research reaches for the subjects most rooms shy away from — generational trauma, body image, dance, and the changing idea of feminism in Pakistan. She brings the room its sharpest questions about what a story is really trying to say.

Member, Board of Directors

Awais Ahmed moves fluently across forms. The mind behind Jeevan Nagar and Standup Gilt, he has written scripts for television, web series for digital platforms, lyrics for OSTs, and commercials for the screen. He knows how a single line has to land whether it runs for forty episodes or forty seconds — and he brings that range to everything the room builds.
